Having survived on Moldavian lands for more than three centuries Dragomirna monastery is one of those monuments that evoke a page of Moldavia history in a particular way. The monastery’s strong walls, the towers and the counter forts create an atmosphere of medieval fortress that faced many attacks. Built by the ruler Miron Barnovschi Movila in 1627, this web of walls surrounds construction the 1609 construction, built by Anastasie Crimca.
