We were very impressed with Ovidiu’s knowledge of the “painted monasteries” we visited, and beyond that, we enjoyed his very personable style and willingness to talk about Romania’s history, politics, and culture in more general ways.  He really gave us a good feel for this wonderful country.

Ovidiu was a very flexible and caring guide!  On our second day of touring, we requested a change of itinerary and he suggested that we use the day to drive south to the Red Lake District in the mountains to see the impressive gorges. We were so pleased to see more of Romania, especially the fortress at Neamt along the way.

We marvel at how easy the trip was for us beginning with our overnight train ride from Kyiv, Ukraine, to being met by our very competent guide who took care of all the details on our visit – transportation, meals, hotel, and tours.  If you haven’t been to Romania, this would be a good time to discover Bucovina, with Ovidiu as your guide!
