Ion Irimescu Art Museum of Falticeni was opened in 1974, on Ion Irimescu’s initiative and donations (sculptor), functioning from the beginning as a department of the Town Museum. Afterwards, the value of the collection has increased, now being the richest author collection, and in 1991 it became a museum. It includes the most representative creation of the sculptor Ion Irimescu, over 300 sculptures and 1.000 drawings: portraits, compositions, monument projects, accomplished in ronde-bosse technique or high relief, in plaster, terracotta, marble, bronze or clay, graphic works especially donated for the An Museum in Falticeni.
