Itinerary:

Day 1 - Bucharest - Curtea de Arges Monastery - Sibiu
Starting from Bucharest, through the Olt valley the first stop will be the monastery from Curtea de Arges. Transfer and overnight in Sibiu
Day 2 - Sibiu - Corvin Castle - Alba Iulia - Sibiu
Walking tour in Sibiu, visit of Corvin Castle from Hunedoara wich is one of the most beautiful gothic castles of Europe and the town of Alba Iulia that hosts the biggest Vauban style fortress in the Eastern Europe, symbol of the Romanian unification. Overnight in Sibiu
Day 3 - Sibiu - Turda - Maramures
Turda salt mine visit and transfer with overnight in Maramures.
Day 4 - Maramures
Maramures tour: monastery of Barsana, Merry Cemetery, wooden churches. Ovenight in Maramures.
Day 5 - Maramures - Bucovina
Maramures tour with local handiwork visits. Transfer and overnight in Bucovina
Day 6 - Bucovina
Classic painted monasteries tour in Bucovina: Humor, Voronet, Moldovita, Sucevita, passing through picturesque villages rich in history, culture and folk art. Besides the monasteries we will have a quick immersion at the atelier of black pottery in Marginea and the egg painting atelier of Vama. Overnight in Bucovina
Day 7 - Bucovina - Agapia - Bicaz Gorges - Red Lake - Sighisoara
We visit the monastery of Agapia, one of the largest monasteries in Romania which is home to more than 300 nuns, and transfer to Sighisoara through the Bicaz Gorges and Red Lake. Overnight in Sighisoara
Day 8 - Sighisoara - Prejmer - Brasov
Tour of Sighisoara and visit the fortified church of Prejmer (UNESCO monument) and the city of Brasov, one of Romania’s most visited cities. Overnight in Brasov
Day 9 - Brasov - Bran Castle - Peles Castle
Tour of Brasov and visit of Bran Castle, better known as Dracula’s Castle and the Peles Castle, probably the most beautiful castle in Romania. Overnight in Bucharest Day
Day 10 - Bucharest
Guided tour of the city of Bucharest, a metropolis with 2 million inhabitants and the capital ofRomania. Free afternoon. End of the journey.

               It is hard to describe in few words such a complex tour of Romania. A 10 days tour where we try to get the best out of your precios trip and to show you Romania beneath the surface. It is not easy to describe Romania because it is unlike any other country in Europe, Romania is the country with a thousand faces. We will help you to discover in Romania a legacy who dates back thousands of years, a crossing point between the orient and occident and a melting pot of diffrent cultures: Saxons, Hungarians, Jews, Armenians, Gypsies, lipovans and many other cultures let their mark on Romania.

               We will travel through Romania on mountain roads with stunning views over the natural wonders inside the majestic natural parks of the Carpathian mountains. We will travel through ancient villages with ruined castles and medieval marvels and we will try to understand the spirituality, to discover the traditions and to taste the gastronomy of those who are considered some of the most hospitable people in the world.

               During our journey we ar going to visit many places listed as UNESCO world herritage (The Wooden Churches of Maramures, The Painted Monasteries of Bucovina, The Medieval Town of Sighisoara and the Fortified Saxon Churches); beautiful medieval cities like Brasov and Sibiu and some of the best castles in Europe (Peles, Bran, Corvin Castle).

Is this a private or a group tour?

Usually this is a private tour. However if we have specific requests from our guests we can provide a small group tour or a shared tour.

What time do tours start?

The best time to start this tour is 09.00 am, but we can also start at a mutually agreeded time.

Which are the pick-up and drop-off places?

We can pick-up/drop-off you at the most convenient place for you (your hotel, airport or other places) .

How long does the tour take?

The tour takes approximately 10 days but we can adapt to fit 100% your individual requirments.

How should I dress?

There is no formal dress code.

When do I have to pay?

You have to pay 30% in advance (wire transfer) and 70% you will pay to the tour guide when you will start the tour.

What currency can we use?

For our tours we accept both Euro and the local currency known as Leu or Ron, but for all the other expences we recommend to use the local currency.

What kind of accommodation we will have?

We make sure that you will enjoy the tour and you will have a pleasant stay and for these we carefully choose the best 3 star accommodations available.

Can i choose a different accommodation?

Yes, you can choose to upgrade the accommodation or to choose a package without accommodation
